: 1ch (does not count as dc throughout pattern), 1dc into each dc to end, turn. Rep row 2 twice more.
Next row
: Ch3 (counts as first tr throughout pattern), 1tr into each dc to end, turn.
Next row
: Ch1, 1dc into each tr to end, turn. **

Work straight in pattern until sleeve measures 15 (17:20:24:29:33)cm / 6 (6½:8:9½:11½:13)in, ending with a dc row. Fasten off.

Making up
Weave in ends.
Join shoulder seams. Fold sleeve in half lengthways and mark centre point, place marked point to centre of shoulder seam and catch in place. Measure equal distances either side of Back and Fronts and pin sleeve in position. Sew in place with a flat seam. Repeat with the other sleeve. Sew underarm sleeve and side seams.

Edging

Main body
Round 1
: With RS facing, using 3.75mm hook and yarn B, join yarn to lower edge of Back at right hand side seam. Work a row of dc around the entire outer edging of jacket, working into each st on foundation chains of Back and Fronts, and row ends up the Fronts and work 2dc into each corner to keep work flat, join with a sl st to beg of round, turn.
Round 2
: Ch1, *1tr into next dc, sl st into next dc; rep from * all around, join with a ss. Fasten off.

Sleeve edging
Round 1
: With RS facing, using 3.75mm hook and yarn B, join yarn to underarm seam at lower edge. Work 1 round of dc into each st of the starting chain, join with a sl st, turn.
Round 2: Ch1, *1tr into next dc, sl st into next dc; rep from * all around, join with a ss. Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in all ends. Attach buttons to Fronts as shown. For the larger sizes we suggest you use 2 buttons on each side. See ball band for washing and care instructions.
