Make Jubilee party hats

PP jun12 make Jubilee party hats

Add to the sense of fun with party hats for your guests – they’re easy to make from rolled card and decorated with ribbons.

From thin card cut a semi-circle with a diameter of 33cm (13in). Roll to form a cone shape and fix in place with several staples.

Use a 3D fabric pen to draw tiny dots around the brim of the hat and leave to dry completely. Cut four lengths of ribbon for each hat, approx 20cm (8in) long.

Fix ribbon to top of hat using glue. Pierce a hole at the side of each hat for elastic, thread through and tie a knot at each end to finish.

Pearlescent blue blank cards with envelopes, £3.99 for ten; ribbons from 25p per m. Both Hobbycraft
