If you have difficulty finding boots to fit, you'll love Duo boots
Weathers turning colder and the clocks are going back (if youre wondering how you can usefully spend that extra hour, read this). Its time to buy boots. Weve recently published 10 best boots buys in the Fashion and beauty channel, courtesy of the Good Housekeeping fashion editor. But the All About You editor couldnt resist adding her own favourite (to make it our top 11!) from Duo boots the Flora, pictured here. Ive championed Duo before, anyone with wide feet whos had to hoike themselves around slim-fitting shoe shops will find them a godsend. And if you havent discovered them yet oh-wide-footed ones, visit the website immediately www.duoboots.com.
Everything is available to buy online but I dont particularly like shopping for shoes or boots online so I went over to their new shop in St Martin's Courtyard at Covent Garden to get mine. You can browse all of the styles, try them on, make your selection and pay, and they will be delivered to you. They do carry a limited stock in store so you may be able to bring them home on the day, but with so many width fittings available they couldnt hold all of the stock there. Once your fitting details are required they will be on file so its easy to shop online for new styles afterwards.
And they launch loads of great new styles every season as well as the Flora, my other favourites this season are the Catalonia (riding boot style) and the lace-up front Asburn for a touch of Victoriana. I like the concept so much Im planning to buy a pair for my mother in Ireland and send them over. She has horribly wide feet too. I do find my wide feet a real curse. But Im pleased there are places I can go to find comfortable styles to accommodate them. Because my Flora boots fit like gloves on my feet!
