Were changing a three-bedroom house into a four-bedroom with an extra bathroom and a big square landing.
Take a quick look around our house - and see our plans. Here's how we got on this week...
Mud glorious mud. It's everywhere. Despite the sun coming out this week, what little there is left of our front garden has turned into a sticky clay mess. With the Portaloo in the centre of the front garden, you've got no choice but to wade through it every time you need to spend a penny. We are now praying the rain stays away so that progress can be made with the garage and hard landscaping.
What a difference just two weeks makes. The plasterers have come and gone, upstairs the electrician has finished his first fix and my lovely plumber has been busy hanging radiators. The amount of decorating is a little overwhelming - as we're trying to make the money stretch the builders are decorating the new bits and I'm painting the old bits. Not surprisingly they are considerably faster than me! I've been merrily spending the fixtures budget and have just bought the most beautiful shower cubicles from Showerlux. Both enclosures are from the Designa range and are frameless. For our ensuite we've also treated ourselves to a super slim tray; it's only 25mm deep and will be recessed into the tiled floor so it will almost disappear. Check it out here.
