Items removed from my garden this week:
4 footballs
2 plant pots
1 tree stump
1 rubber bucket of cement pots
I bin full of sand
Puss in Boots
Not the real Puss in Boots of course, though God knows there are plenty of places for him to happily hide out forever. However after 3 days, 10 hours and 22 sacks of garden waste, the space you can see on the right of the photo has now been cleared. On the left is what it used to look like.
Yes. I know. Theres not much difference.
It does reveal the mini mountain of earth that has accumulated however. And this week, with two people working on the garden - presumably with big shovels and huge arm muscles I should be able to walk a few feet further in.
Soon Ill have to start thinking about plants and shrubs. I want options that grow well in a reasonable amount of shade the garden is north east facing and there are overhanging trees either side and dont need much maintenance. I havent discovered my green-fingered self yet. But I may still age into it.
All ideas welcome.
