Or are you a fan of 'dashing away with the smoothing iron'? ...
Do you iron your clothes?
I do so very rarely (which will come as no surprise to anyone who's seen me today in my green silk top).
Most modern fabrics don't seem to need ironing (and no, I don't have a polyester-only wardrobe). And if something looks a little wrinkled when you put it on, the creases do drop out with the heat of your body as the day wears on. If clothes have been dried on the line, the creases have usually been blown out before you come to wear them, whereas tumble-drying makes creases worse if the clothes are dried for just a few minutes too long.
I don't mind ironing in the slightest; I just don't feel the need that often. For garments and/or occasions that really warrant it, I'll dig the ironing board out from under the stairs.
My dad shared an interesting fact recently: that in 'the olden days' the point of ironing was to kill lice and other unwanted insects.
