The Key to It All is a rip-roaring thriller by Joanna Rees, pictured. I picked it up one Friday evening and was so engrossed in the story that I had finished it off by Saturday night.
 
It tells the story of five strangers, in different parts of the world, who receive a mysterious key from a stranger. It promises to grant them their deepest desires but, we all know there’s something for nothing in this world, and as the key starts to work for them, life begins to take some disturbing and very dark turns. Part ‘what would you do if you could do anything you wanted?’, part ‘be careful what you wish for’, the story holds the attention through its many twists and turns as you desperately wait to find out – who is behind it all?
