Practical advice amidst the panic
I woke up to a call from my mother-in-law on the weekend. Some Bosch dishwashers were faulty and might be causing house fires. We were certain that her Bosch dishwasher, which was quite a few years old, wouldn't be one that was being recalled. But it turned out that it was. Our Bosch dishwasher, which is new, was fine. The news is suddenly full of stories and statistics about product recall and the potential of house fires - and the threat is real. It's scary to think that our houses harbour products which can set on fire while we sleep but, in the midst of our seriously busy lives, what can we honestly do about it?
I've found three super-easy ways to stay on top of product recalls...
1) You can follow Recall UK on Twitter - which will give you news of all the latest recalls.
2) You can bookmark Recall UK's latest recalls webpage and vow to visit it regularly.
3) You can check your appliances on the
