Continuing our diary of the Chris James detox diet
I've been warned about day 3. A nutritionist I met yesterday at the launch of a new drink for joint health (LitoZin Drink Powder) told me it's commonly the day of weeping and wailing. She was speaking from her experience of boot camp fitness workshops. Though the wailing is unlikely to come as a surprise if you've had a marine shouting at you for three days.
Today I try some new foods; miso soup (delicious), lentil salad (tasty, despite the slight sludgely appearance) and give my new juicer its first go. Chris James recommends it as a vital piece of equipement during the detox. I'd been eyeing it warily ever since getting it out of its box at the weekend, but a trip to Joe & the Juice opposite work this morning convinced me. Watching those men shove carrots, apples and ginger down the tube and come up with an amazing drink was inspiring. I try it at home and it's just as good! The juicer opens up whole new possibilities in my life. My god, the combinations are endless ...
Still no wailing. In fact I'm feeling pretty good. And so far no cravings.
