A wild creation, free knitting patterns plus some fabulous recipes
Oooh, this is my favourite knitted veg of the moment! Yes, it has usurped the knitted corn on the cob and the knitted tomato (see links below). I think the thing I am loving most about knitting myself a vegetable every week is that I am constantly learning and mastering something new. I'm often jealous of my children, coming home from school full of new facts and wonder at the world they are learning about while I plod on, not learning so very much at all. Last week my daughter went on work experience - it was at a wonderful London language school and she was surrounded by people not just learning to gain qualifications, but learning for the sheer joy of adding a skill to their lives. Nice. So my new skill is to knit an aubergine stalk. Well done me! Am thinking I'll knit the turnip for next week... Here are few life-enhancing skills you might want to pick up...
The natty way to clean a leek
The easy way to make an impressive mille feuille
The fun ways to cook with aubergine (in case, by some strange chance, you don't fancy knitting one).
