Knitted veg of the week: corn on the cob

A wild creation, free knitting patterns plus some fabulous recipes

by Carol Muskoron

This corn on the cob took a matter of hours to make, and I adore it! But I think it looks a little lonely, so I am going to knit it some vegetable friends. I will knit an aubergine next. Will post the pic as soon as it is hot off the needles. Am using patterns from this amazing Knitted Vegetables book - so if anyone fancies knitting up some veg with me, they are very welcome. I am going to put mine in a classy chrome bowl when I am finished and call it a work of art, which I think will be an accurate description. I am so impressed with the pattern - the author didn't just produce leaf-shaped leaves, she produced fabric which curls in at the sides and behaves like a leaf - very clever.
