A beauty must-have for 2013

CC is the latest innovation in skincare

by Alice Jones

Here at All About You we love our hero beauty products and it looks like another one is about to take off. Big news in the world of make-up for this year is the CC cream, or Complexion Corrector.

So what makes it a power product? Let’s start with coverage as this was the main difference I noticed. It has all the benefits of a BB cream but gives you that extra coverage of a foundation, hiding any imperfections or signs of tiredness. Its texture was very different to that of a BB and felt more like a mousse which made it really easy to apply and more importantly, easy to blend.

It boasts a list of skincare benefits too, the most notable being its toning, brightening and moisturising qualities – all leaving you with a radiant complexion and hydrated skin.

As with Blemish Balm, the idea originated in Asia and soon became a craze. Several versions are launching this year from brands including Clinique, Olay and L’Oreal but Nip+Fab’s is the first to land in the UK.

Ok, so moving one letter down the alphabet isn’t very original but I’m definitely predicting it will be the next big skincare trend for 2013, you know, before DD cream comes out. It’s definitely one of my make-up bag staples.
