Can one day of cook school make a difference?

A lot of you out there think it can...

by Carol Muskoron

Either a lot of you are interested in one-day cookery courses or a lot of you are interested in sending someone else on one, but either way our Top 12 one-day cookery courses feature is SO popular at the moment! So... I've had it updated, with news of all the best and latest courses around. But I was wondering? do you think a one-day cookery course can really make a difference to your cooking? I think it would be fun to get cheffy for a day, but I wonder if I could incorporate my 'learnings' into everyday cooking? Have you ever been on one? Did it change the way you cook?

By the way, we wanted to add another marvelous new course to the gallery but somehow Top 13 one-day cookery courses doesn't have quite the same ring to it, so here's the extra course. It's run by Waitrose (the venue kitchen is pictured left), is described as state-of-the-art and has been running for 18 months in north London. A team of top UK restaurant, cookery school and TV chefs teach you everything from brushing up on your knife skills to creating the perfect Michelin-star style dinner party. There are 25 different courses are on offer ranging from £45 through to £175. Coming up this autumn: The Perfect Steak; Michelin Star Cookery; and Cooking at Uni (for students). To find out more take a look here. And you can see that ever-popular gallery of twelve more one-day cookery courses here.
