Give just six seconds of your time
Make a really worthwhile New Year resolution, one that could save a life.
Each year in the UK 92,000 people suffer a heart attack, and a third of those die as a result. St John Ambulance has launched a campiagn to help reduce that number. Learn to recognise the four symptoms of a heart attack, aka the four Ps.
WHAT ARE THE FOUR P'S?
PAIN (in the chest)
PULSE (rapid or weak)
PERSPIRATION
PALE SKIN
Sue Killen, CEO of St John Ambulance says: We want to give people the chance to make an achievable and potentially life saving - New Years resolution. Help us reduce heart attack deaths by watching our quick steps on how to spot a heart attack, and share it with your friends. We hope it isnt but this could be the year you need to use it.
Did you know? A heart attack and a cardiac arrest are not the same: a cardiac arrest is when the person stops breathing and needs resuscitation.
