  Review of Rangemaster Classic 90 Deluxe range cooker

  Features

  896-925x900x600mm, BB energy rating, 2 ovens plus separate grill (LH multifunction (8 functions), RH fan), 5 burners, including wok and removable griddle. Available in cream or matt black.

  Comments

  Although only 90cm wide, this range doesn't compromise on oven size. The tall oven has four shelves so it's great for batch baking - producing even and well browned vol-au-vents and small cakes. It also includes a useful plate warming rack. The telescopic grill pan makes it easier to tend to food under the grill, but the handyrack which fits on to the left hand oven door can be tricky to use. Roast meal can be cooked in both ovens. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Features

  900x1000x600mm, AAB energy rating, 3 ovens (LH multifunction (9 functions), RH fan, Top conventional, plus slow cooking compartment. 7 burners (including wok and removable griddle),. Telescopic rails in the 3 main ovens. Available in 3 colours: silver, black and champagne

  Comments

  This 100cm model has a multifunction and a fan oven, as well as a small conventional oven above the left oven and a slow cooking compartment below the right. Cooking performance was good on all settings tested and it's possible to cook a roast dinner in both ovens, although it was a squeeze to fit both the potato tray and apple crumble dish on the same shelf. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Comments

  Contemporary styled cooker. Good grilling results and good cooking results in LH oven. RH oven too narrow to fit a standard sized baking tray. Well designed cooker, but instructions are quite poor. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Comments

  Contemporary styled cooker. RH oven too small to fit a standard sized baking tray. Cooking performance in LH oven was good, but vol-au-vents didn't cook evenly. Difficult to set temperature accurately and cooling fan is quite noisy.

  Comments

  Beautifully designed classic style cooker, available in 6 colours. Good cooking results, except vol-au-vents in RH oven, which cooked unevenly and grill results were disappointing. Roast meal can be cooked in both ovens. Lack of clock and viewing windows make checking on food more difficult. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Comments

  This 100cm wide classic style has two good sized ovens, and a useful slow cooking compartment. It gained the highest marks for cooking performance of all models tested. Roast meals can be cooked in both ovens. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Comments

  Contemporary styled cooker. Temperatures in RH oven run higher than set which caused vol-au-vents and small cakes to be too dark on top. Grilling results were poor. Roast meal can be cooked in both ovens. Good range of hob heating zones and the hob also includes a ceramic keep warm section.

  Features

  860-910x1000x600mm, AA energy rating, 2 ovens (LH multifunction (9 functions), RH conventional), 4 burners plus chef top, storage drawer. Available in stainless steel or graphite black.

  Comments

  Contemporary styled cooker with a 60cm wide LH oven and 40cm RH. Roast meal can be cooked in both ovens. The model we tested had 4 burners with a chef top which can be converted to a central fish burner, but it's also available as a 6 gas burners or 6 zone ceramic. Good cooking performance in the LH oven, but the RH oven didn't cope as well in the small cake and vol-au-vent test. Good range of hob heating zones.

  Comments

  Contemporary styled cooker. Roast dinner was cooked well in LH oven, but RH oven too small. Poor grilling results. Difficult to see in to oven with the doors closed. Good range of hob heating zones.
