  This cleverly folds up into a tiny, lightweight package with a handle so it can be easily carried or stored. Best for small amounts of shopping it does sag in the middle if packed with too many heavy items which makes it difficult to tow. No closure at the top means if it tips over the shopping can fall out easily.

  Comments

  A hard sided trolley with an open top. It folds in on itself until completely flat. Is best for short journeys as it has no lid and items can jump out on rough terrain or get wet if it rains. Soft items are well protected by its hard sides. As it is plastic it can be washed easily and even used to transport garden rubbish.

  Comments

  The mother of all shopping trolleys, this shopper is designed to be pushed rather than pulled. The swivel wheels at the front make it easy to manoeuvre but it is quite heavy and bulky to store. Easy to pack with a wide opening and has an additional vegetable rack on the back. It is the only one with an adjustable handle height.
