Mini-ovens
Baby Belling 121R mini oven
Good Housekeeping Top Scorer
Features

Electric oven and grill, two solid top hotplates. Drop-down door. One oven shelf and a grill pan. External dimensions H42cm x W48cm x D43cm

Comments

Good points: Accurate thermostat/oven temperatures. Roast potatoes were brown and crispy and roast chicken was well cooked and golden brown. Fruit cake was a little dark on the bottom, but otherwise very good.

Drawbacks: Fairy cakes and vol-au-vents were burnt on the base. It was a squeeze getting the chicken and roast potatoes in on one shelf. When using the grill or oven, only the left hand hotplate will work. Its height means that it is not easy to reach the hotplates when the oven is placed on a normal height worktop. Only one shelf, which can be limiting. Oven temps marked in 50oC intervals so it is difficult to be exact when setting temperatures. No hob-hot light. No grill pan handle. Door has no window in it, so you can't see inside when door is closed. No internal light. Oven door gets hot.
