Get in style with this simple, sexy cardigan

lacy-edged cardigan to crochet - Crochet a lacy-edged cardigan: free crochet pattern - Craft - allaboutyou.com

This gently fitted cardigan flatters the figure with its sophisticated style, while its simple stitch pattern combines double and treble crochet. The openwork bands go quickly, along with the double crochet rows, which create tighter spacing. The pretty lacy edging looks complex but is actually worked in just three rows.

Estimated time to complete

For the first size cardigan, 25 hours.

Tips

● Use a larger hook to work the starting chain loosely and evenly, changing to a 3.00mm (D/3) hook for the last 3ch to keep them neat.
● It's easy to see which side of the work you're on, because all wrong-side rows are in double crochet, while all right-side rows use treble crochet stitches.
● You'll find it easy to keep track of the side and sleeve shaping if you mark each end of the decrease and increase rows.
