Share the secrets of celebrity detox diets: cutting the carbs

Whether it's the Atkins Diet, the Paleo Diet or just leaving out the fries, nothing makes you lose weight faster in the short term than carb cutting.

Not meant to be a long-term solution, passing on carbohydrates for too long can leave you tired, lacking in energy and feeling low. But as a quick fix, saying no to bread, pasta and potatoes can give your body the boost it needs.

Lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley cuts out carbs from her diet when she wants to make an impressive entrance. The 27-year-old model and actress says: 'If I want to detox or shed some weight or eat cleanly, I'll cut out carbs and refined sugars.'

Reformed junk food junkie Cameron Diaz (left) still loves her carbs, but the 'Annie' star knows that if she's going to look good, she has to ditch those demon foods. Her trainer Teddy Bass explains that in order to stay slender, the star cuts her carbs, swapping them with fruits and vegetables instead. 'These foods (carbs) are high in sugar, which means your body burns off the sugar first rather than the stored fat,' he reveals.

Cheese lover Cameron also adds nutritional yeast to her food, since it 'tastes just like Parmesan cheese'. The 41-year-old actress, who wrote 'The Body Book' to highlight health and wellbeing, uses the supplement in a variety of ways to spice up her diet and get those all important B vitamins into her body.
