The diet that boosts your love life: eating plan

Follow our two-week programme to get back that spark with your loved one - and we've thrown in a sex tip for each day to hot things up in the bedroom too.

Day 1

Breakfast: Muesli with skimmed milk and a handful of blueberries
Lunch: Salad of rocket, avocado and sprouted seeds topped with fresh prawns
Dinner: Frittata made from two eggs with tomato, peas and topped with toasted pumpkin seeds
Bedroom menu:
Give your loved one a massage tonight - it increases intimacy and makes you both feel relaxed. Try scented oil like ylang ylang to get you in the mood.

Day 2

Breakfast: Wholemeal toast with peanut butter and a banana
Lunch: Vegetable chilli made with soy mince served with brown rice
Dinner: Salmon marinated in honey and soy sauce with ginger, with steamed green beans and spinach
Bedroom menu:

Day 4

Breakfast: Two boiled eggs with wholegrain toast
Lunch:
Mushroom and Puy lentil soup
Dinner: Grilled haddock with roasted tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes and onions
Bedroom menu:

Day 5

Dinner: Miso soup with seaweed and spinach with a bowl of soy beans to nibble
Bedroom menu:

Day 7

If you normally chuck on any old greying pants from the drawer, surprise your partner tonight with a sexy pair of matching undies to show off your new improved figure. Choose short-style knickers if you are conscious of your curves.

Day 9

Breakfast: Live yoghurt with dried apricots and a chopped banana
Lunch: Half tub hummus with raw veg to dip: peppers, carrots and cauliflower
Dinner: Ratatouille made from aubergines, courgettes, yellow pepper and garlic, with brown rice
Bedroom menu:
It's time to up the ante by introducing a little light bondage. Try pulling out some fluffy handcuffs or a scarf, then tie his hands to the bedpost and have your wicked way!

Day 10

Breakfast: Two slices of rye toast with lean ham
Lunch:
Red lentil soup with wholemeal roll
Dinner: Jacket potato with homemade guacamole made from mashed avocado, lemon juice and garlic with green salad
Bedroom menu:
By now you should be feeling more confident - and more raunchy. How about a little role play this evening? You don't have to dress up to the nines as a secretary/princess/prostitute but getting into character can help you feel less inhibited.

Day 11

Breakfast: Kippers with rye toast and roasted tomatoes
Lunch: Greek salad with feta cheese, red onions, cucumber, tomatoes and olives
Dinner: Turkey stir-fried with green beans and carrots served with roasted butternut squash
Bedroom menu:
It's no secret that most guys would love to see their significant other do a private sexy dance for them. Put on your sexiest outfit and practise in front of the mirror. Don't worry about making a fool of yourself - he will be so entranced, nothing will take away from this moment.

Day 12

Lunch: Avocado and chilli chicken wrap with an apple

Feeling hot yet? Spice things up even further with some dirty talk between the sheets. If you feel self-conscious start gently - tell him what you want him to do, how you are feeling or where you want his hands to go next, then build up to some filthy chat as things progress.

Day 13

Breakfast: Wholewheat pancakes with smoked salmon and scrambled egg
Lunch: Seared tuna with mashed potato and steamed asparagus
Dinner: Spicy three-bean soup, with kidney beans, haricot beans and chickpeas
Bedroom menu:
Build things up for a big crescendo by having a night off from the nookie tonight. Instead just gently touch each other and explore each other's erogenous zones without going all the way - how about stroking or licking the back of his knees or blowing softly on his neck?

Day 14

Breakfast: Fresh fruit salad of blueberries, strawberries and raspberries with live yoghurt
Lunch: Spinach, mushroom and goat's cheese omelette
Dinner: Thai-style chicken with chilli, ginger, red pepper, broccoli and coconut milk
Bedroom menu:
Put all the new tricks you've learned over the past fortnight together: combined with your increased libido, your great new shape and your healthy circulation, it should make for a night of mind-blowing passion. For a celebratory treat, chill some champagne, take the phone off the hook and take your time.
