Cookbook competition: who likes The Hairy Bikers?

They're two very pleasant men, but why are they quite so popular?

by Carol Muskoron

We have been chatting here in the allaboutyou office and we just don't get the Hairy Bikers. We know that thousands of people search for their recipes every month and so we've done some Hairy Bikers' research, and have put up their recipes for Very Good Balti Chicken, Traditional Lamb Saag and Extra-Special Beef Biryani but none of us quite understand their popularity. Are they a huge hit because they were huge (I understand they have lost weight now, having produced The Hairy Dieters book last year)? Because they are hairy? Because they are bikers? Because their recipes are so great? We are aching to know! And I will put all your suggestions in a hat and will pull one out at the end of the week and send the lucky winner a copy of Jamie's 15-Minute Meals. Sorry, I don't have a Hairy Bikers cookbook to give away at the moment. But if you give me enough reasons to like them, I'll try to get one in!
