Knitted veg of the week: parsnip

A wild creation, free knitting patterns plus some fabulous recipes

by Carol Muskoron

Oooh, this is a good knitted veg. The ridges on the body are so authentic, and that upturned tail: fabulous - not to mention the wispy bits on the stalk. Brilliant pattern and a fine parsnip by anyone's standards. Am loving my knitted veg experience - my bowl of the things is filling up nicely. I photographed the parsnip with the tomato as it looked anaemic on its own. And I had to take a break from the knitted veg to get a baby blanket out fast for a newborn, but am back on the job now. Next week: artichoke. Wish me luck!
