Add a nautical touch to this easy-to-make cushion
Enlarge template to 14cm high.
Trace pieces onto Bondaweb and iron onto reverse of fabric scraps.
Cut out and remove backing.
Position appliqué in centre of a 20cm square of white fabric and iron on.
Work zigzag stitch around edges.
Press under 1cm around outer edge of square.
Cut a rectangle of fabric 110cm x 47cm for a 45cm square cushion.
Place white square in centre, equal distance from all sides.
Pin and stitch in place.
Press under and stitch a 2cm hem across short edges.
Fold fabric with right side inside and edges overlapping so it measures 45cm, ensuring appliqué is in centre.
Stitch sides taking 1cm seam allowances.
Turn right side out and insert cushion.
