Create a memory heart using scraps of fabric from old garments that mean something to you
Cut eight rectangles of fabric 12cm wide in random lengths between 4cm and 7cm. Stitch together to form two strips. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the two strips together and press seam allowances open. Enlarge template to around 19cm high. Lay template on patchwork diagonally and cut out. Fold a piece of string to form a hanging loop and tack to right side of heart. Cut second heart from one fabric. Stitch two hearts together around outer edge, leaving a gap for turning through. Trim seam allowances to 5mm. Turn right side out and press, then fill with polyester toy stuffing. Sew up gap in stitching.
