Make a contemporary paper-bag advent calendar
Simple, quick and effortlessly stylish - make it a modern Christmas
Not everyone wants Christmas decorations that are red and green and bursting with jolly Santas. If that sounds like you, this simple-to-make paper-bag advent calendar is a contemporary Christmas touch.
You will need
• black card
• white chalk
• assorted sweets and treats
• 24 small white paper bags
• 24 wooden clothes-pegs
How to make
Cut 24 small squares from the black card. Write the numbers 1 to 24 on each square with the chalk.
Pop a tiny gift, sweet, treat or even a written wish or joke into each paper bag.
Fold over the top of each paper bag and attach one of the black-card numbers with a clothes-peg.
Arrange the pegged paper bags on a side table or mantelpiece.
