Make stained-glass biscuit Christmas decorations

Stained-glass biscuit decorations for Christmas tree - Make stained-glass biscuit Christmas decorations - Christmas decorations to make - Craft - allaboutyou.com

These glowing-centred biscuits are like instant stained-glass windows.

To make

Roll out a simple shortbread mixture (click here for shortbread recipe) to about 5mm thick. Cut out Christmas trees, stars and hearts, using a smaller cutter to create shapes inside each biscuit, and place on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment.

Fill the centres with crushed boiled sweets, pierce a hanging hole in each biscuit and bake until golden brown.

Leave to harden before threading coloured string or cord through the hole.
