Enter Country Living's Nature Video & Photography competition

If you love nothing better than watching wildlife and capturing special moments, such as a fox emerging to forage at dusk, a bumblebee collecting nectar from a flower or a fledgling bird leaving its nest for the first time on film, then CL’s Nature Video & Photography Competition, in association with Simon King Wildlife is for you. We have teamed up with the TV presenter and wildlife expert to invite you to create video clips and photographs of the natural world, and enter them for the chance to win fantastic prizes, including an exclusive day out with Simon (see below). During the competition, we will create a gallery of the best photographs on this website and share our pick of readers’ videos in a dedicated section on the Simon King Wildlife YouTube channel.

Prizes

The winner in each category will enjoy an exclusive Wild Day Out with Simon near his home in Somerset, where they will gain an insight into tracking animals and identifying bird song, plus they will receive a waterproof jacket from outdoor clothing company Páramo. The winners will also appear in the January 2015 issue of Country Living Magazine.

Competition rules

Only one entry will be accepted per person.  The closing date for receipt of competition entries is 1 August 2014.

Entry to the competition and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use any winner’s name, image and any competition entry photograph, for promotional and/or editorial purposes without additional consultation.

This competition is not open to employees of The National Magazine Company Limited or our competition partners or their direct family members.

The winners will be selected at the editor and Simon King Wildlife's discretion; their decision is final. Entries must be emailed to win@countryliving.co.uk. Entries in the incorrect format will not be considered. Entries cannot be returned.

Only the winners will be contacted personally. The name of the winners will be available by sending an sae to Country Living's Nature Video & Photography Competition, 72 Broadwick Street, London W1F 9EP.

Entrants must be available to travel between 1 September and 1 October. Prize includes a day with Simon King and the two other winners, including travel and accommodation costs (up to a value of £200), plus a waterproof jacket by Paramo.

By taking part entrants are declaring that they do not earn a living from photography and are not a professional photographer, nor have they won a national photography or video competition previously.

Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred although The National Magazine Company Limited reserves the right to change the prizes in the event of unforeseen circumstances. There will be no cash alternative.

The National Magazine Company Limited does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.

The National Magazine Company Limited's decision is final in every situation, including any not covered above and no correspondence will be entered into.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them.

The National Magazine Company Limited shall be permitted to exclude any entrant at any time at its sole discretion.

Where The National Magazine Company Limited runs a competition with a promoter such that the promoter is responsible for the provision of prizes then The National Magazine Company Limited shall not be responsible for or have any liability for the provision of such prizes.
