Celebrate National Tree Week
Honour our nation's majestic trees with forest walks, treehouse holidays and planting choices for your own garden
How often do you stop to appreciate the dappled shade a tree has cast over your path, or a forest’s patchwork of colour when summer becomes autumn? If the answer’s ‘not often enough’ then National Tree Week, from November 29 to December 7 2014, is the perfect time to pay homage to our country’s gentle giants. The Tree Council also encourages communities to help their local treescape during these seven days with a programme of tree-themed events to get involved in. We’ve also got lots of ideas for how to show your appreciation, including the UK’s most magical woodlands to walk through and the best trees to plant if your garden is on the small side.
