Revealed! What grandmas desperately want...
1.Since my granddaughter Emmy Blossom arrived I have been overwhelmed by my love for her. I just gaze at her and I am choked with emotion. My first Christmas wish is very greedy really I want to experience another circle of life and be able to hold Emmy's child in my arms. Bliss!
2.In 1994 a friend asked if my husband, Graham and I wanted to see Barbara Streisand live at Wembley. Each ticket was going to cost £108, and it was difficult for us to justify us spending over £200 on two tickets!! Consequently Graham didnt come. Therefore it would great to have two tickets for a Barbara Streisand concert (anywhere in the world) and for us BOTH to hear her singing Papa Can You Hear Me (from Yentl) and Don't Rain On My Parade!
3.My mother is very ill and each extra day we have with her is precious. Emmy was born on Mums 83rd birthday and Id like to wish for ALL the family to be able to celebrate Emmy's first birthday and my mum's 84th birthday next September.
4.I thought I ought to include one real present (one that can be wrapped), and the only thing I can think of is a Kindle. When we go on holiday I carry at least four books with me and Graham would be so pleased with the luggage weight reduction!
My final Christmas wish, is for my son and daughter and their spouses. I would like their lives to be filled with good health and happiness to the end of their days wherever they are in the world.
Jacqueline Conn, is 56, newly retired and a new Booba (Jewish grandmother) to Emmy Blossom born Sept 2nd 2011. She gets immense joy giving presents and making other people happy but hates getting presents but, so this was very hard list for her to compile.
